What Cardly is

A digital identity: a card you design, a permanent public link, a pass in Apple Wallet, and optionally a physical NFC object that points at the same identity. Venues can also run a loyalty card that lives in their customers' Wallets.

Your account

You need to be 18 or older. Keep your password to yourself — anything done from your account is treated as done by you.

Your username is permanent. It is printed on physical cards and embedded in passes already in other people's phones, so it cannot be changed or transferred once claimed.

What you put on your card

It stays yours. You give us permission to show it, which is the entire point of publishing a card, and nothing beyond that.

Do not put up anything you do not have the right to, anything illegal in the UAE, anything that impersonates somebody else, or anything designed to mislead the person who taps your card. We can take down a card that does, and will if we are told about one.

If you run a loyalty card

The programme is yours: you decide the reward, you honour it, and any dispute about a stamp is between you and your customer. Cardly keeps the ledger that lets you settle it.

The phone numbers your customers give are theirs, held for the purposes on the privacy page and for nothing else. You may not export them, message them, or use them for marketing. Doing so is a breach of these terms and, separately, of UAE data protection law.

You are responsible for the PINs you hand out and the tills you pair. Unpair a till you no longer control.

Paying

Free while it is in beta. When paid plans start, you will be told before anything is charged and nothing will be charged retroactively.

Physical cards are bought separately and priced when ordered.

What we do not promise

Cardly is provided as it is. We work to keep it up and we do not guarantee it will never be down.

Two things are genuinely outside our control and worth naming: Apple Wallet is Apple's, and an NFC card only works on a phone whose NFC is switched on.

Ending it

You can delete your account at any time from the app, and it takes everything with it.

We can suspend an account that breaks these terms, and will say why. If we stop offering Cardly entirely, we will give notice and time to export.

The legal bit

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Arab Emirates, and its courts have jurisdiction over any dispute.
